WILDEST DREAMS - Sue Thorn Photography

Don't be limited by what has been. Be inspired knowing that what could be is far greater than your wildest dreams.

Cheryl Richardson

With a snip of a red ribbon, Sue Thorn Photography opens her beautiful studio.

She is pure joy, beaming.

She welcomes us into her freshly painted studio, which is the very essence of Sue.

Her art is on the white walls, the client’s wardrobe is on a pretty rack, or stacked in lovely piles, and it feels like her home away from home.

We all clap and cheer! We are here for it; pom-poms ready.

The turnaround from her wild idea to lovely studio has been quick.

Back in June, she said, "I can't sleep. A hundred ideas are bouncing around my mind; I think I worked out how to build a studio".

She was in New Zealand attending a workshop by Renaye McLachlan.

I replied, "Tell me more," as we'd talked about her frustrations with her current studio set, which she couldn't see a way around, in our Thrive sessions.

"I'm going to convert half of the garage into a studio, but I'm unsure if my family will be on board."

And a floury of texts arrived as she worked through her ideas, random thoughts, and what-ifs.

But her family were more than on board; they organised a quote within a week.

Eight weeks later, Sue has a brand new studio and is creating the work she dreamed about and thought was impossible.

Sometimes, our dreams feel too big and are beyond our current scope of thinking. But, like Sue, a new perspective will make all the difference.

She still had to do the work, trust her ideas, and commit to the project. However, the new perspective of seeing Renaye's set-up was the catalyst.

Deep down, we know what we need or desire, and sometimes, the path is cluttered with all the negative thoughts that come with chasing big dreams.

I believe our conversations in our Thrive sessions helped her clear the path and made her why, the reason she's a photographer, shine and sparkle.

So when the idea bubbled up, she was ready to activate and take the big steps to make it happen.

Personally, as I stood on the step waiting for her to cut the ribbon, I had goosebumps as I watched another’s wild creative dream come true.

It brought a smile to my face, and my heart, to see her joy!

Congratulations, Sue! I’m excited to see the ripples as you move through your dream!
