HOLDING ON // LETTING GO IS A MOTHERHOOD PROJECT.

be featured in a worldwide project

  • Motherhood is a place

Motherhood is a place” is the current series you are invited to contribute to and be part of a worldwide collaboration. The idea is to use the place to tell their current story, which will change with time. Motherhood is the star, the place adds context.

Suggestions for your motherhood portrait:

OUR HOME: It can be as small as a kitchen in a city apartment or as wide as a homestead in the outback. Maybe it’s the family home you grew up in or your new to you home. Maybe it’s the backyard, or the clothesline, or the front door. Maybe it’s a favourite chair that sparks memories and tells the tale of this stage of the mothering journey.

OUR WANDERLUST: Motherhood often inspires us to see the world and adventure into new places to share with our children and expose them to more than their neighbourhood. Maybe you love to camp or have a family cabin. Or caravan where the whole extended family meets every year. Maybe you adventure to new countries or walk the same path in your favourite forest daily. A sense of adventure expands our mothering and connects us with our children in their memories as they grow.

OUR LANDSCAPE: Maybe the mountains or the ocean connect you to your mothering. Maybe it’s a day out in the city or climbing trees. Maybe you live in the country with field to play in or maybe it’s a quiet cafe to grab a coffee. Our landscapes are layered and add something unique to each motherhood story.

We are more than our piles of laundry and dirty dishes.

This series will be shared as a black and white collection in September, so please complete the form below if you would like to participate to share your ideas or ask questions.

My dream is to create a book and donate the part of proceeds to Share the Dignity.

Share the Dignity is a women's charity in Australia that works to make a real difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough. They distribute period products to women, girls. When someone is doing it tough, the last thing on their mind should be dealing with their period.
